I have had a Moyra effect powder for a while and I was yet to try it. So tonight I decided the time was here for me to give it a try. Boy have I missed out. This gives off all kinds of colors depending on the light and how you move your hands.
I have recently bought Moyra Foil stamping polish in white, and figured I could mixed it up with my effect powder. It took time (almost 2 hours) to get the above design done, because I had to do one nail at a time. I must say, I am happy with the result . The above picture is in natural light, and the picture below is with flash. You can see how the effect powder shimmers blue here 🙂
I first started by polishing my nails with “London by marinelovespolish” which is a collaboration polish by Picture Polish. This is a beautiful dusty grey polish with scattered holographic effect. I did two coats of this polish and finished with a layer of Seche Vite top coat. I then stamped the design on using the Moyra Foil stamping polish. This can be used on its own since it’s white. But if you want, you can use pigment powder, mirror powder, or in my case, effect powder while the polish is tacky. I used an eyeshadow applicator to dab the effect powder on the stamped design while it was tacky. I waited about 20 seconds before I brushed of the access powder with a fan brush and topped with IsaDora Chrome nails fixing top coat. I finished with one last layer of Seche Vite. Enjoy 🙂
